TEXTILE WORK OF LORE LINDU

Lore Lindu is an area of national park in Central Sulawesi. The park is a rain forest. It grows in the tropics which has high rainfall density. Lore Lindu National Park has several ecosystem types. It has symbolic values of human characteristics and civilization. The symbolic values appear on layers which form rain forest and some elements on it including trees movement and the characteristic itself, namely a wet condition in a hot climate. Formulation of visual aesthetic rule of Lore Lindu area contains its symbolic meaning of human civilization and social life. Lore Lindu national park is very interesting for being an inspiration of fine art. Based on the background and idea explained above, the writer aimed to create textile work in the forms of decorative work and change of forms that would be realized in various, dynamic and expressive, artistic, and natural look forms.

Based on the aims above, the writer presents 3 dimension textile work using textile media with Lore Lindu National Park as the idea. The textile process is inspired of various forms and expression types of the park’s elements. The creation process was conducted in some stages of exploration. They are how the writer got the idea of planning and realizing by designing the newest, innovative and creative forms. The work is made of wooden media as construction and of natural materials such as natural fiber, agel, and yarn by using macramé technique. The making of the work concerns in private expression inspired by the elements and symbols of Lore Lindu Rain Forest. The work creation is not only about the aesthetic aspect of the work but also about its meaning and content.

The creation hopefully can be a part of conservation effort among society and also stimulate people’s appreciation of fine arts in general and of textile work in particular. Textile work is interpreted as an aesthetic and ethic media, and as an effort to keep the continuity of the tradition development and the efforts environmental conservation. This is in line with the world’s demand and the existence of a balance human civilization.

TEXTILE WORK OF LORE LINDU

Lore Lindu is a district of national park in Central Sulawesi. it’s a rain forest. It grows in a tropic area which has high rainfall. Lore Lindu national park has some ecosystem type. It has symbolic value of human characteristic and it’s civilization. Symbolist value appear on layers which form Lore Lindu rain forest and some elements on it. For example trees movement  and the characteristic it’s self. e.g. hot climate but it still wet. The formulation rule of visual aesthetic of Lore Lindu national park is very interesting for being inspiration of fine art. Based on the background and idea explained above, the writer wants to create fine art in decorative creation and change of form that realized in variety form, dynamic and expressive, artistic and natural look.
Based on that explanation above the writer present 3 Dimension of fine art with textile material from Lore Lindu rain forest as source idea. It processed with kind of shape and some expression from elements in Lore Lindu rain forest. This fine art creation through some phases that is exploration. It is how the writer looked for idea of planning and realizing by planning the newest form, innovative, creative and expressive. Work appearance use wood material as construction and the material use natural material those are natural fiber, agel and yarn, with macramé technique. In its appearance more concern in private expression without leave elements and symbol and the meaning there are in Lore Lindu rain forest as creation source. Work creation is not only about aesthetic value but also the meaning in it’s work.
Through the process of getting idea and collect the writer’s want in do work this creation hope that it can be part of effort to save our nature in our society and also stimulate the love of art in general and textile work in particular. The fine art must be means of communication aesthetically, ethic and those are efforts to keep continuity of tradition growth. And it can be an effort to keep our nature according to the pressure of time and existence of human civilization harmonically.

KRIYA TEKSTIL LORE LINDU

Lore Lindu adalah kawasan taman nasional hutan hujan yaitu hutan yang tumbuh di tempat panas yang banyak hujannya yang terletak di Sulawesi Tengah. Taman Nasional Lore Lindu memiliki beberapa  tipe ekosistem. Lore lindu memiliki nilai simbolik sifat manusia dan peradabannya. Nilai simbolik tampak pada lapisan-lapisan yang membentuk hutan hujan dan elemen-elemen yang ada di dalamya diantaranya gerakan pohon dan sifat karakteristik hutan hujan itu sendiri misalnya hawa panas tetapi tetap basah. Perumusan kaidah estetik visual dari Lore Lindu mengandung arti perlambang peradaban manusia dan kehidupan sosialnya. Taman Nasional Lore Lindu sangat menarik untuk dijadikan sumber inspirasi karya-karya kriya tekstil. Bertolak dari latar belakang dan ide yang dipaparkan di atas, penulis bertujuan untuk menciptakan karya kriya tekstil dalam karya bernilai dekoratif, dan pengubahan bentuk diwujudkan dalam bentuk yang variatif, dinamis dan ekspresif, artistik dan bercitra natural.
Berdasarkan hal tersebut penulis menghadirkan karya kriya tekstil tiga dimensional dengan media tekstil dari sumber ide hutan hujan Lore Lindu yang diolah dengan berbagai bentuk dan macam ekspresi unsur-unsur yang ada di hutan hujan Lore Lindu. Proses penciptaan karya ini melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu eksplorasi yang merupakan penggalian sumber ide perancangan dan perwujudan melalui perencanaan bentuk-bentuk terbaru, inovatif, kreatif, ekspresif. Perwujudan karya menggunakan media kayu sebagai konstruksi dan bahannya menggunakan bahan-bahan yang berkesan natural yaitu serat alam, agel, benang, dengan teknik macramé. Dalam perwujudannya lebih menekankan ekspresi pribadi tanpa meninggalkan unsur-unsur dan simbol serta makna yang ada di hutan hujan Lore Lindu sebagai sumber ide penciptaan. Penciptaan karya tidak hanya menyangkut aspek estestis saja tetapi juga menyangkut makna dan muatan isi karya kriya tekstil tersebut.
Melalui proses dari penggalian sumber ide maupun menampung keinginan penulis dalam berkarya,penciptaan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bagian dari usaha untuk melestarikan lingkungan yang ada diantara kehidupan masyarakat juga untuk menumbuhkembangkan rasa cinta pada seni rupa pada umumnya dan kriya tekstil pada khususnya. Kriya tekstil harus diartikan sebagai media komunikasi yang estestis, etis, dan salah satu usaha untuk menjaga, kontinuitas perkembangan tradisi seiring dengan usaha pelestarian lingkungan sesuai dengan tuntutan dari jaman dan kelangsungan peradaban manusia yang harmonis.
